Moved by the deep compassion and empathy for all the lives that he had inadvertently killed in his quest to get vengeance on Brainiac, Proselyte appeared before Atrocitus on the planet Ysmault, using their tentacles to knock back the members of the Red Lantern Corps who had turned on their former leader.
Showing Atrocitus that Rage was not always the answer, their intervention caused a change of heart within the former leader, who regained control of the Red Lanterns with a new philosophy that would allow them to co-exist peacefully with the six other Corps.
