Mysaria - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

A Lysene dancer working in the brothels of Flea Market, Mysaria earned the name from the other prostitutes the "White Worm," due to her pale skin and ability to gain information and secrets. She became the lover of Prince Daemon Targaryen, whilst also becoming his Mistress of Whispers.

She also gained the name Lady Misery.

After the breakout of the Dance of Dragons, Mysaria was contacted by Daemon in hopes that she could help him and his wife get revenge on King Aegon II Targaryen for the murder of his step son, demanding that it would be blood for blood.

Mysaria acted as a broker, commissioning Blood and Cheese to sneak into the Red Keep and kill one of Aegon and Helaena's sons. For extra measure she asked that they bring the severed head to in order to show that the contract had been completed.

Due to his talents at spying and deception, Brynden Rivers (Bloodraven) was said to be on a level that "rivalled" that of Lady Mysaria.

Cheese - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

A former rat-catcher that was hired to work in the Red Keep, Cheese (as history would go on to know him as) and his partner Blood were hired by Mysaria (Daemon Targaryen's former "paramour") to avenge the death of Daemon's stepson Lucerys. He remembered all the different passage ways and tunnels that Maegor had built beneath his Holdfast, using them to sneak into the palace undetected.

Taking Queen Helaena hostage, the two proceeded to hold her two boys hostage, demanding the terrified mother to choose which one of her children she wanted them to kill. Refusing to allow her to sacrifice themselves, she named her youngest son, only for the pair of killers to murder Prince Jaehaerys instead.

Leaving the distraught Helaena crying with her baby in her arms, the two assassins fled back through the tunnels.

Blood - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

A large thug for hire, he was employed by the White Worm along with the former rat-catcher of the Red Keep to sneak into Maegor's Holdfast and murder one of Queen Helaena's sons as revenge for the death of Rhaenyera's own Prince Lucerys.

Following Cheese through the tunnel system, they managed to get into the Keep without alerting the Kings Guard and captured Aegon II Targaryen's wife. Turning a knife on the two boys, she was asked which of the two children she wanted them to kill, repeating the question after she begs them to kill her.

Hearing that she wanted to kill Maelor, the two of them killed Jaeherys instead, cutting of the boys head and taking it with them as proof that they had completed the deed.

History would only remember him as Blood the child slayer.

Alysanne Blackwood - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Fighting alongside her nephew Benjicot during the Dance of Dragons, she was part of an alliance between the young Lords and Ladies of the Riverlands, joining the Blacks to help put Princess Rhaenyra on the Throne.

Alysanne (also known as "Black Aly") and Benjicot helped Prince Daemon secure the Stone Hedge from the Brackens during the Battle of the Burning Mill in the year 129 AC.

Later in 131 AC, Alysanne led the archers of the Blacks Riverland army against the Green, shooting down numerous soldiers.

Alysanne married Lord Cregan Stark on the condition that King Aegon III Targaryen's royal decree stood; Lord Corlys Velaryon would not only be spared from trail (for his part as counsel to Aegon II), but also be allowed to have his title and honours reinstated. Through her marriage to Stark, she became the Lady of Winterfell.

Alysanna had four children with her husband, Sarra, Alys, Raya and Mariah Stark.

Lord Benjicot Blackwood - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Born in 119 AC, Benjicot Blackwood of House Raventree formed an alliance with his aunt Alysanne and Kermit Tully, calling themselves The Lads.

Lord Blackwood and Alysanne fought alongside Prince Daemon Targaryen, capturing the Stone Hedge from the Brackens at the Battle for the Burning Mill.

They declared themselves loyal to Queen Rhaenyra and the Blacks, however after the Queen was killed by King Aegon II, Benjicot and the other Riverlands made a final offensive against King's Landing to depose the king - choosing to back Prince Aegon III for the monarch instead.

Benjicot met the Green army and their commander The Lord of Storm's End Borros Baratheon on the Battlefield, clashing on the Kingsroad as the Blacks marched in the direction of the capital.

Although the Green's originally mocked him for being only a boy, Benjicot led the charge, breaking his enemies flank and cutting down all he saw. In the aftermath of the battle, he was given the name "Bloody Ben Blackwood."

The Lads - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

In 131 AC, the young Lords and Ladies of the Riverlands joined forces in an alliance they called "The Lads", working together to help place Queen Rhaenyra on the Iron Throne during the Targaryen Civil War; the Dance of Dragons. Their leadership included Lord Kermit of House Tully, as well as Lord and Lady Benjicot and Alysanna "Black Aly" Blackwood.

After the death of Queen Rhaenyra, they backed Prince Aegon III Targaryen, marching on King's Landing in an effort to depose and usurp King Aegon II.

Clashing with Lord Borros Baratheon, the leader of the Greens underestimated them because they were young and had women among their ranks, resulting in the Lads decimating the army. Kermit finished Baratheon off, sending the Green army into chaos.

They proceeded down the Kingsroad, preparing to meet up with Lord Cregan Stark and his army from the North to make the final assault on King's Landing and the King himself.

Lord Elmo Tully - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Defying his grandfather's (Lord Grover Tully) orders, Ser Elmo Tully sealed the gates to Riverun, deciding that he would keep the banners at their ancestral home and not show support for King Aegon II Targaryen.

Making the executive decision to ally himself with Queen Rhaenyra during the 130 AC Targaryen Civil War, he lead the armies of the Riverlands into the second Battle of the town of Tumbleton. The Blacks won and very shortly after that, Elmo was made Lord of Riverun after the bedridden Grover passed away.

However forty nine days after he became the Lord Paramount of the Trident, Lord Tully collapsed and died. His young son Kermit Tully had to take up the moniker of Lord of Riverun, continuing his father's position as commander of the Riverland Forces.

Lord Kermit Tully - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

The son of Lord Elmo Tully, Kermit became the Lord of Riverun, as well as Lord Paramount of the Trident after his father's death. He fought in the Dance of Drangons, fighting for Queen Rhaenyra and her Blacks.

He was one of the members of the Lads, joining the group of young Riverland Lords and Ladies in 131 AC.

He became a powerful figure, dedicating his life to ensure the safety of his queen and her son Prince Aegon III. He had been made the chief commander in the Riverland battalion (along with Lord and Lady Benjicot and Alysanna Blackwood) storming King's Landing in the final days of the Civil War, eventually meeting Lord Borros Barartheon in the Battle of the Kingsroad. After a long battle, he managed to kill Borros, leaving the Greens without a leader.

Under his leadership, House Tully was a force to be reckoned with, leading many to believe that House Tully found it hard to be recognised as a dominant and influential ally after his own passing.

Lord Jon Connington - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

A man in the court of King Aerys II Targaryen, Jon Connigton was a friend and supporter of Prince Rhaegar.

After the outbreak of Robert Baratheon's rebellion, he was made the Hand of the King, as well as fighting in the field with his men to bring down the usurper and end the conflict. He fought Robert's army at Stoney Sept, in what would later be called the Battle of the Bells, however they were defeated by Baratheon - helping to get into an alliance with House Tully and their bannerman. He was almost killed by Robert, however chose to retreat after seeing that their was no chance for the battle to be won.

The Targaryen armies were left disorientated, taking time to regroup after several defeats to the rebellion. Connington's army was reinforced by the King's Guard, along with the aid of Rhaegar who travelled north with even more recruits.

Connington was stripped of his position as Hand of the King, with King Aerys II Targaryen presenting Lord Qarlton Chelsted with the title.

A knight of House Royce, Ser Willum and his family sided with "Queen" Rhaenyra and her legion of Blacks during the Targaryen Civil War. He was custodian of the ancestral Valyrian Steel Sword Lamentation.

In 130 AC, Willum attempted to defend the four young dragons nesting in the Dragon Pit
from an angry mob, led by a preacher with hatred for all dragons. However all his efforts were in vain, and he was overrun and killed.

As for Lamentation, the sword dropped out history, with no record of it ever appearing in the songs, tales and texts.

Hobb the Hewer - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Joining the crowd in Cobbler's Square, the man that would become known as Hobb "the Hewer", listened to the inflammatory comments made about dragons, agreeing with the Shepherd in his view that they were creatures that defied the Gods and needed to be killed.

Following the preacher to the Dragon Pit on the crest Rhaenys Hill, Hobb was among the wave of the King's Landings residents who stormed the nest and attacked the young dragons as they rested. Hobb managed to use his woodcutter axe in resistance against Prince Jaehaerys' dragon Shrykos.

It was unclear if he was one of the mob members who managed to survive the dragons' defence or the collapse of the roof. However due to his bravery and skill at killing a dragon, he became a legendary figure during the Targaryen Civil War.

The Burning Knight - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Known only in current times as the Burning Knight, he was a member of the Shepherd's mob who stormed The Dragon Pit during the riots of King's Landing in the year 130 AC. He was impassioned by the preachers hateful words about the "demon" dragons that would be responsible for the end of man.

Coming across the young Morghul, belonging to Princess Jaehaera Targaryen - not old enough to fight in the Dance of Dragons - he killed the creature as other members of the mob did the same with the remaining three dragons.

He became a renowned hero for the part he played in the Targaryen Civil War, with his title going down in legend - even though his name was lost forever.

The Shepherd - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Believed to be a member of the Poor Fellows, The Shepherd was the name of an unknown man whose name had been lost to history, who had a great fear and distrust of any dragons - which he shared with many of the residents of Westeros. He was a worshipper of the Faith of the Seven.

He began to preach in the Cobbler's Square of King's Landing, declaring that dragons were nothing more than "demons" that were the "spawn of godless Valyria", adding that they would bring about death, destruction and "doom" to all of mankind if people let it happen. As he made his speeches, thousands of people began to listen, growing angrier and more vengeful against the dragons. His final declaration that King's Landing would be saved by the "cleans{ing}" of the dragons was the tipping point, leading to riots in the streets and an attack on the Dragon Pit.

Among his followers were two people who would go on to become historical figures during the songs of the Dance of Dragons; Hobb the Hewer and The Burned Knight.

He personally led the mob to the Pit, attempting to slay the four dragons that were nesing there, also resulting in the deaths of a fifth dragon, Ser Willum Royce (losing his Valyrion Steel sword Lamentation), Ser Glendon Goode and Prince Joffrey Velaryon.

Some rumours sparking from the event said that the Shepherd had killed some of the dragons by himself.

Having survived the destruction of the Dragon Pit, the Shepherd and the remaining members of his mob took control of parts of King's Landing, until King Aegon II returned and reunified the city.

However it was not known what had happened to him or his followers after the war had ended.

The Cannibal - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Called the Cannibal for his habit to kill and devour the bodies of dead hatchlings, he was reported by the "smallfolk"  to have resided on Dragonstone before the Targaryens even set foot on the island. However many viewed this with a great deal of scepticism.

He was one of the three untamed dragons that Princess Rhaenyra and Prince Jacaerys wanted to find riders for during the Dance of Dragons, along with Sheepstealer and Grey Ghost. However he remained untrained throughout the conflict.

The Cannibal was reported to have killed Grey Ghost at Dragonstone, however in fact the murder had been committed by Sunfyre, who had been recovering there with his rider King Aerys II, after Princess Rhaenyera attacked King's Landing and declared herself as Queen.

After the war had finished, The Cannibal had mysteriously disappeared, with no one ever managing to track down his exact location.

Grey Ghost - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

A dragon living during the rule of King Aegon II, Grey Ghost was one of the three creatures that were offered to potential dragonseed (Targaryen bastards) with the declaration from Princess Rhaenyra and Prince Jacaerys that they would be granted wealth, titles, lands and the dragon if they could be tamed - Cannibal, Sheepstealer and himself.

He was shy around people, choosing to hide when he could and hunt for fish. Though many tried, none could find him, resulting in him having no rider.

After fleeing King's Landing, King Aegon II hid in Dragonstone with Sunfyre, recovering from their wounds in his enemies old fort. Sunfyre turned on Grey Ghost, who had remained behind att Dragonstone, killing the reserved dragon.

Reports of the event after it had happened laid the blame on Cannibal.
