Hobb the Hewer - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Joining the crowd in Cobbler's Square, the man that would become known as Hobb "the Hewer", listened to the inflammatory comments made about dragons, agreeing with the Shepherd in his view that they were creatures that defied the Gods and needed to be killed.

Following the preacher to the Dragon Pit on the crest Rhaenys Hill, Hobb was among the wave of the King's Landings residents who stormed the nest and attacked the young dragons as they rested. Hobb managed to use his woodcutter axe in resistance against Prince Jaehaerys' dragon Shrykos.

It was unclear if he was one of the mob members who managed to survive the dragons' defence or the collapse of the roof. However due to his bravery and skill at killing a dragon, he became a legendary figure during the Targaryen Civil War.
