Alysanne Blackwood - The World of Ice and Fire (2014)

Fighting alongside her nephew Benjicot during the Dance of Dragons, she was part of an alliance between the young Lords and Ladies of the Riverlands, joining the Blacks to help put Princess Rhaenyra on the Throne.

Alysanne (also known as "Black Aly") and Benjicot helped Prince Daemon secure the Stone Hedge from the Brackens during the Battle of the Burning Mill in the year 129 AC.

Later in 131 AC, Alysanne led the archers of the Blacks Riverland army against the Green, shooting down numerous soldiers.


Alysanne married Lord Cregan Stark on the condition that King Aegon III Targaryen's royal decree stood; Lord Corlys Velaryon would not only be spared from trail (for his part as counsel to Aegon II), but also be allowed to have his title and honours reinstated. Through her marriage to Stark, she became the Lady of Winterfell.

Alysanna had four children with her husband, Sarra, Alys, Raya and Mariah Stark.
