A knight of House Royce, Ser Willum and his family sided with "Queen" Rhaenyra and her legion of Blacks during the Targaryen Civil War. He was custodian of the ancestral Valyrian Steel Sword Lamentation.In 130 AC, Willum attempted to defend the four young dragons nesting in the Dragon Pit
from an angry mob, led by a preacher with hatred for all dragons. However all his efforts were in vain, and he was overrun and killed.
As for Lamentation, the sword dropped out history, with no record of it ever appearing in the songs, tales and texts.
