Born in 119 AC, Benjicot Blackwood of House Raventree formed an alliance with his aunt Alysanne and Kermit Tully, calling themselves The Lads.Lord Blackwood and Alysanne fought alongside Prince Daemon Targaryen, capturing the Stone Hedge from the Brackens at the Battle for the Burning Mill.
They declared themselves loyal to Queen Rhaenyra and the Blacks, however after the Queen was killed by King Aegon II, Benjicot and the other Riverlands made a final offensive against King's Landing to depose the king - choosing to back Prince Aegon III for the monarch instead.
Benjicot met the Green army and their commander The Lord of Storm's End Borros Baratheon on the Battlefield, clashing on the Kingsroad as the Blacks marched in the direction of the capital.
Although the Green's originally mocked him for being only a boy, Benjicot led the charge, breaking his enemies flank and cutting down all he saw. In the aftermath of the battle, he was given the name "Bloody Ben Blackwood."
