Called the Cannibal for his habit to kill and devour the bodies of dead hatchlings, he was reported by the "smallfolk" to have resided on Dragonstone before the Targaryens even set foot on the island. However many viewed this with a great deal of scepticism.He was one of the three untamed dragons that Princess Rhaenyra and Prince Jacaerys wanted to find riders for during the Dance of Dragons, along with Sheepstealer and Grey Ghost. However he remained untrained throughout the conflict.
The Cannibal was reported to have killed Grey Ghost at Dragonstone, however in fact the murder had been committed by Sunfyre, who had been recovering there with his rider King Aerys II, after Princess Rhaenyera attacked King's Landing and declared herself as Queen.
After the war had finished, The Cannibal had mysteriously disappeared, with no one ever managing to track down his exact location.
