The wisest and most powerful practitioners of magic within the Children of the Forest, the Greenseers were said to be responsible for the carving of the Weirwood Trees, which they used as part of their prayers to the Old and Faceless Gods of the Forest, Stream and Stone.However they were not able to preserve the peace after the Andals arrived from the Andalos (west coast of Essos), forcing them to retreat to the furthest North of Westeros in hope that they could survive.
They were believed to be the stuff of legend, song and myth.
