The first ever Hand to the King to be a practitioner of pyromancy, Rossart was killed in the final day of Robert Baratheon's rebellion against House Targaryen by Jamie Lannister, who would go on to be called the "Kingslayer" for his actions to save King's Landing from total annihilation."Jamie II"
Whilst trying to think of who to make Hand of the King, Cersei asked Jamie what she thought of Lord Hallyne of the Alechmist's Guild, thinking he would be a strong choice and a powerful ally. She went on to note that he would not be the first "pyromancer" that would be granted the title of Hand to the King.
However Jamie is against the idea, remembering how he had to kill Rossart during the Sack of King's Landing, in order to stop the Hand from following Aerys II's orders and releasing Wildfire to burn the city into cinders.
