Rossart - A Clash of Kings (1998)

A High Ranking member of the Alchemist Guild with intimate knowledge about "The Substace", Rossart had been made King Aerys II Hand.

During his time as Hand, he would visit the Alchemist's Guild to check on the progress of the Wildfire, helping to create more caches and plant them throughout King's Landing at key structural points tat would engulf the whole city in flames if the King ordered it.

One such cache was placed under the Dragon Pit (in the cellars), which contained three hundred jars, which had not been marked on any maps for fear they would be found by enemies and used against them.


"Tyrion I"

While visiting the Alchemist's Guild to check on the process of Wildfire production that Cersei Lannister had commissioned for the defence of King's Landing, the current head Hallyne greeted Tyrion and expressed his surprise to be visited by a Hand to the King, something he mused had not happened since the time of King Aerys II Targareyen. He added that since the Hand of the King was also a part of their order, it was not to be unexpected.


"Tyrion XI"

Giving a report to Tyrion on the Guild's progress in his solar, Hallyne reported to the dubious Hand that Rossart's Dragon Pit cache had been stumbled upon by a drunk male who had fallen through the rotted floor of the ruins into the cellars below - the Dragon Pit being used by some of the local "whores" as a place to "entertain their patrons". The patron mistook one of the clay pots for alcohol and broke the wax seal, drinking it.

Although Tyrion expressed his pleasure at the news, he did wish that Rossart had at least left some sort of warning, so that no had would make similar mistakes to what the drunk patron had done.
